TWO TAILS ON TUESDAY WITH DANTE

The topside of Dante's tail and the bottomside are two completely different animals, or else his tail has multiple purrsonality disorder -- one or the other!

(Biggify for the "Wow" factor)
The top side has long hair, about 6 inches in length, which hangs down on either side of a middle part, much like a feather.  We shall call this side the "Nom de Plume" (which is "Lacocoon Dante", by the way).

When Dante lifts that tail, it becomes a poof of floof without any kind of delineation.  The floof of his pantaloons runs right into the floof of his tail to create something eerily reminiscent of "Cousin Itt".  And so "Itt" shall be named!

I must say it always makes me smile when I see "Cousin Itt" walking away.  There's no ifs, ands (but certainly some butts) about it!

Here's "Cousin Itt" of "Adams Family" fame.  What do you think?

Of course, Dante's "Cousin Itt" doesn't have sunglasses or a hat!  Yet.

CHILLING WITH DANTE ON AN EASY SUNDAY!

Before everyone starts to ask "you still have snow?", these pictures were taken two weeks ago.  Today, there is no snow in either our front or back yards, though I hear it's going to turn colder again -- and who knows if the white stuff will return.

I chose these pictures because Dante was actually "chilling" (the snow helps with that, too).  There was also a bit of a breeze and it ruffled Dante's considerable furs exposing his pale underbelly.  I also love how some of his longer fur hangs over the front of the bench in a couple of these shots.

I take so many pictures that I can never possibly put them all on my blog, but I like to select the best ones, so sometimes I go back in time a little.

May I present, Lacocoon Dante as he actually appeared on March 6, 2010.

(Biggify any of these photos for maximum effect)

Have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday efurryone!

DANTE: THE WEARING OF THE GREEN

Hooray!  We won "First Place for the Best Use of Green" in the St. Patrick's Day Contest hosted by "Brian's Home".  Just click on his name to go and see all of the winners.

Here is Lacocoon O'Dante wearing the Green in honour of St. Patrick's Day.  There's nothing like a bright orange tabby cat against the green of the grass and patches of clover to brighten your day and make you feel every bit Irish.

Here's a bit of trivia for you from "Wikpedia":

"The diminutive version of the Irish word for "clover" ("seamair") is "seamróg", which was anglicised as "shamrock", representing a close approximation of the original Irish pronunciation."

So, O'Dante's wearing traditional Irish as befits the occasion.

And Irish, or no, there's nowhere like the green, green grass of home!

Happy St. Paddy's Day Efurryone!

TOES AND TAIL TUESDAY: ON DIRT ALERT WITH DANTE

And now for something a little different.  How about some dirty, muddy toesies?  With spring on the horizon, the melted snow has muddied up the back yard some around the edges, and Dante, with his propensity for digging, has taken full advantage.

So today, you get lots of dirty toe shots, along with a tail here and there, and even a glimpse of tummy from time-to-time!  Are you ready for the thrills and chills?  Remember, just biggify any shot for the up-close and purrsonal details.

I don't suppose you're going to be feeling like kissing those toesies anytime soon, but they're still kind of cute and fuzzy, dirt or no dirt.  Dante is quite a meticulous groomer, so I'm sure he'll take care of that, right quick!

What a hoof!

Make sure to scrub under the nails, now!

Bye y'all!

EASY ON SUNDAY: DANTE ON THE PATIO

This is an entire series of pictures of Dante sitting out on the patio, on a chair, on the first day after the snow had melted sufficiently for him to sit there.

These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago, and there have been a myriad of changes both in the amount of snow in the back yard and in the amount of fur on Dante's body since.  Both have diminished considerably.

I almost forgot about these photos because I had taken so many new ones in the meantime, and there never seemed to be an appropriate day to post them.  So, before they are lost forever in my gallery of thousands, I'm shooting them out into the blogosphere for all eternity.

Amazingly, all of them are pretty good.  I couldn't decide which ones to eliminate, so I just posted them all.  If you're a Dante fan, you certainly won't mind.

DANTE PRE-SPRING!

Just one photo today, that I thought was particularly good.  I love the impending sense of action that it conveys.

It's Dante about to spring into Spring, although it's still several days away on the calendar.

And for maximum gorgeousness, biggify it, of course!
