DANTE'S LINE OF DE FENCE!

Dante's in the back yard witnessing something quite speCATular!

At first he thought it was snow, but white petals have just fallen off the crabapple tree and are littering the ground beneath him!

"Is da furst time I evah had such sweet-smellin' littah!" remarks he.

However, Dante is not content to just sit around and smell the bits o'blossoms.  He feels compelled to PURRuse the PURRimeter of his proPURRty.

So he delves deeply into thick foliage along the fence line.

There is some long grass growing here, so he samples it ...

... and finds it quite to his liking.  "I'm reely liken it." affirms he.

"Dere's so much goin' on arownd heer, I reely hasta keep on top of it", Dante says as he does just that.

DANTE'S LION AROUND ON THE GREEN, GREEN GRASS OF HOME!

Dante just adores this time of year, once the grass has started to grow.  He loves to nibble the longer blades and snuggle down into the shorter ones.

"I doan like it wen dey cuts it too short, doe", opines he.  "It kin get kinda scratchy,"

"An' dey really shud git ridda summa dese weeds!"

"But at leest my pawrents are environmentally (an' mentally) furiendly.  Dey doan use pestisides cuz dat kin kill moar dan jus' da weeds.  It isn't good fur pussycats eithah.  So mebbe da weeds isn't so bad aftah all.  At leest we is safe in our own back yard!"

So saith Dante, the Lion King of Orleans.

DANTE: SPRING SCRATCH & SNIFF

Normally, Dante likes to make sure that efurry aspect of his domain is up to scratch.  However, come Spring he also needs to confirm his dominance using another of his senses.

"I needs ta noe ...

... dat absolootly ...

... efurryfing around heer ...

... is up ta SNIFF!"

(I actually think Dante meant to say 'up to snuff'', but we'll leave well enough alone, shall we?)
